The Problem

Climate change is pushing families deeper into poverty—and children out of school.

  • Falling farm incomes
  • Rising cost of education
  • Increasing school dropout
  • Loss of indigenous trees

Environmental decline and poverty are connected—and they must be solved together.

"EduGreen has had a meaningful and lasting impact on our school community. As a comprehensive school with learners across ECDE, primary, and junior levels, this project has created an opportunity for students to engage in practical environmental learning in a way that is both exciting and transformative.

Through the program, our learners have gained valuable knowledge in tree nursery establishment, indigenous tree planting, and climate education. These are skills they can carry with them beyond the classroom, supporting both their academic journey and future livelihoods. We have also seen a positive shift in their attitude towards learning and a growing sense of responsibility for the environment.

The resources and support provided have not only strengthened the EduGreen project but have also contributed to other areas such as agriculture within the school. We are confident that this initiative will continue to shape and improve the lives of our students both in school and at home.

We truly appreciate your kindness and commitment to supporting our school."

"Kosi EduGreen has made a remarkable impact on environmental education in our school. Our learners have gained hands on experience in tree nursery preparation and have shown incredible dedication, even returning during holidays to care for the project.

Their support through provision of a water tank, farm tools, and consistent guidance has been invaluable. We are truly grateful for their commitment to nurturing both the environment and our learners."

"Working with Kosi Africa through the EduGreen project has been a truly transformative experience for our school community.

Their support has gone far beyond tree planting. The provision of a water tank and the drilling of a borehole greatly improved our access to water, making it possible to nurture our trees while also supporting the daily needs of the school. The farm equipment provided has strengthened our ability to run the project effectively and has given our learners practical agricultural skills that they will carry with them into the future.

What stands out even more is their genuine care for our learners. Through their partnerships, Kosi Africa helped provide mattresses and shoes for our students with special needs, significantly improving their comfort, dignity, and overall learning experience.

The impact of their work is visible every day in our school. The trees we are nurturing stand as a symbol of growth and hope, while the improved well being of our learners reflects their deep commitment to community.

We are truly grateful for this partnership and look forward to continuing to work together to empower our students and promote sustainable development."
