In Kenya, approximately 2 million children are not in school due to financial constraints. The consequences of unmet educational needs among these children include a perpetuation of poverty and a lack of opportunities for a brighter future.
Cords of Change offers the underprivileged students and teenage moms in low income communities an opportunity to learn a wide range of skills i.e crocheting, knitting, bag making and mat production which upon sales enable them to finance for their primary and educational needs.
